iPod

So I decided I wanted a new iPod, so why not go big. I got some gift cards from work and needed to use them on something at BestBuy so why not the iPod I been wanting. Well a few weeks back and I buy a nice 80G Video iPod. Well wasn't I lucky, just a week or two after I purchase it, play with it, and decide I love it, Apple decides to revise it for the Holiday season, they lower the price of the 80G version by 100$ and offer a new 160G version at the same price. So I check and I can return the one I got and get the new 160G, SWEET! So I returned the old one and got a store credit until the new ones where in stock, The new 160's are a tiny bit bigger then the old version so there aren't any cases for them yet, but my "old" one came with a little case, the new one should too right? So I get to the store and get my new 160G iPod ! Yay! Get home and open it up and no case, mmm, how the heck and I going to be able to use it and not scratch the heck out of it? So I look online and find the "iPod Sock" or sometimes called the "iSock". LOL Its the only thing on the market right now that I would use, and fits, but holy cow 30$ no way. So I am like alright, I am going to look for iSock patterns and sure enough I find a simple enough pattern, so I got the idea, I got some spare yarn, did a quick gague swatch and in less then an hour. I had my own temporary iSock...LOL Now it doesn't look as nice as the cute little Apple one, not does it have the little adorable Apple tag, however it's thick and bulk to it can act as a little padding in case of a small drop, and I made it in less then an hour so I at least had something to put the darn thing in. I didn't want to be afraid to use it and scratch it up, but over all I do think I am going to pick up a little more yarn, something nice, thin and soft and made something more similar to the real thing. I just felt really dorky and old knitting my self up an iSock in an hour just because I needed one. Am I the true Grandma of the future? Oh yes, I think so.
Ha Ha Ha...
