Working from home...

So working from home has been interesting. I am fairly happy here, I miss a lot of the people I work with, but realistically a lot of them are also working from home so even if I were still in the office I wouldn’t see them. We are saving a lot of money each year and we will have the baby full time. I think at his age it’s a benefit to have him at home full time, and I decided to take him to the YMCA with me, they have a daycare while I work out so he can still have interaction with other children which is nice. I don’t take change easily but overall it’s been nice to roll out of bed and go to the next room to work rather than having to drive in, and this winter with the snow I am sure that perk will even seem more amplified. I think Nicholas likes it too he seems really happy to be home all day. And lunches and breaks seem a lot longer since I can spend family time during them. Jeremy and I also have 2 days off together which is very nice since we only had a single day off together for the last year. We have been able to get a lot more done around the house and around town. I think it’s going to be a good change.

The sock trial..

Well learning knitting you are always trying new things, things you aren't sure if you can finish...but in the end you learn something from the project. I wanted to learn socks. I hate the cold and well socks help fight the cold... I started with a simple booties pattern. I though it was a little small for me, but I forgot the last step in the pattern, wash and block, this step lets it stretch into place and seems to help it fit more properly. I also think I knitted a little tighter then I needed to so it may have been less stretchy then intended. Over all I think for my first sock ever it turned out well.

Finally finished...

So I finally got to finish Nicholas' blanket. It wasn't very hard, it just took me a while to take the time to finish it. I think my knitting is really coming along. What do you think? It's very soft. The baby seems to really like it, so I am happy
