The bag is finally done....

Well this was my largest project to date. I am very proud of it. It turned out much better then my last felting attempt. I did 2 wash cycles before I dried it this time and it was well worth it. First one with some other things like a towel and some jeans, 2nd by it's self. I think with my front load washer it does better alone. I think it's enough agitation on it's own. Ended up with a very sturdy bag I am sure I will never part with.

Kids make you feel old, fast...

Well, I can say my husband and I are both video game fans. We have extremely nice gaming PC’s, an Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, 2PSP’s and play them all fairly regularly in our free time. So it is likely Nicholas, our son, will be a video game fan as well. Well, I was hanging out down stairs with him playing on the PS3. We got Virtual fighter 5 for it and I been playing the quest area to unlock stuff for a while. Nicholas loves watching it, the PS3 is ultra clear in high definition so he always sits and watches. Well it was getting late and close to his bed time so I wanted to let him play a little before bed. So I start a new game for him. Set him up a character, start the arcade mode, and hand him the controller. With nothing more than me encouraging him to press buttons, he wins the first 2 arcade fights. I don’t help him at all… Yes, my 21 month old son can win at video game fighting. They say kids learn fast and outsmart us quick but DAMN, this quickly? How soon before he is beating me? Ok just had to share that…I feel old now…

Cats are great...

My latest knitting project is this really cool wool bag. I had set the project down on my desk. Jeremy and I went down stairs for dinner. We must have not closed the office door.

When Jeremy came up to the office after his lunch he found this on my desk.

I guess she decided I was knitting her a nice wool bed for the winter, and not a cute little market bag for myself...LOL

Aren't cats great?

Meet my fish Sam...

I have had Sam about a year now. I got him last year around this time. His name came from Samhain the Celtic holiday we now celebrate as Halloween. We named him after that because of his awesome colors, he is black with purple and orange highlights. He is a very cool fish. We recently got him a friend for his tank, a snail to help keep the tank clearer.
